Following the local elections on May 2 2002, Lower Morden is the only ward in Mitcham and Morden to be "represented" by Conservative councillors.

We offer the names of the "Lower Morden Three" for reference, in case you are a resident and would like to write and ask them what exactly they are doing for you. They are Maurice Groves, Ron Wilson, and Terence Sullivan. We hope you get a reply. If you don't, please let us know.

Labour came second in Lower Morden, thanks to a splendid campaign run by our three candidates Liz Daughters, Alan Hodgson and Motiur Rahman. They would like to thank the many hundreds of people who voted Labour on May 2.

If you are a Lower Morden resident and you have a problem which you find your 3 Conservative councillors are not willing or equipped to deal with, please feel free to write to your Labour Member of Parliament, Siobhain McDonagh MP, House of Commons, LONDON SW1A 0AA.
