Since Siobhain became MP for Mitcham and Morden she has learned that the most important aspect of her work is to be in touch with local without. She is out and about in the constituency every week knocking on doors with her team of volunteers to hear first-hand from people about the issues they care about most. She is responsible to around 80,000 constituents who live in Mitcham and Morden and it is that which both excites and motivates Siobhain. Meeting the people living across the local area gives her real insight into the problems faced every day.

As the MP for Mitcham and Morden, Siobhain is able to put real pressure on government ministers and other organisations including the Police, NHS Trusts, Transport for London (TfL) and utility companies. She also meets regularly with Merton Labour Council, and works with them to make Mitcham and Morden a great place to live!

More importantly though, Siobhain being out on the doorstep every week means that she also learns about the things that need fixing sooner and she can work with the right agencies to sort them out. She also works with local community groups to get the best solutions. Many local residents join as part of Siobhain’s team, working with her to make our neighbourhood a better place to live.

Siobhain asks that you get in touch if you’d like to help!
