Let’s make our streets greener!
Longthornton
Merton Garden Streets, delivered by Sustainable Merton, is a volunteer-led initiative by local residents and businesses in Merton to make our streets greener.
Through street and front garden planting, they help to improve community well-being, and it also provides important environmental benefits such as increasing wildlife, improving air quality, and helping to prevent flooding.
Merton garden streets helps residents plant up their street with pollinator friendly flowers and shrubs in front gardens, under street trees, and in verges.
If you want to become a street coordinator, don’t forget to register your street to get involved, and encourage your neighbors to join you too! If you want a pack of plants or more information to get you started, contact:

The next community planting day will be on 21 June
There will be a stall outside the lovely Sonia’s house on Lilian Road if anyone wants to drop in!
