New scooter park opens in Pollards Hill
Pollards Hill
More than 200 children and families gathered at Pollards Hill Recreation Ground for the grand opening of the borough’s second scooter park – and exciting new facility delivered by Merton Labour Council’s with a £180,000 investment. The event was officially opened by the Mayor of Merton and Cabinet Member for Sport and Leisure, Cllr Cooper-Marbiah, joined by Pollards Hill ward councillors Joan Henry, Aidan Mundy and Martin Whelton.
The new facility will also support The Sherwood School’s Holiday Activities and Food programme, with pupils set to use the track as part of their summer sessions. This scooter park is part of a broader investment in Pollards Hill’s recreation ground by Merton Labour Council. Further upgrades are planned, including transforming the tennis courts into a new multi-use games area with support from the Football Foundation.
